Essential Pool Information
What to wear
- A well-fitting neoprene swim nappy must be worn with an Eco NappyWrap & Liner or a disposable swim nappy underneath if your child is in Kickers and in other programmes if they are not potty/toilet trained. You can buy one of our great value Swimming Kits which contain everything you need for your swim lesson.
- We recommend either a Thermal Top or Wetsuit at this pool especially if your child is in 'Splashers' or 'Kickers'.
- All swimmers must shower prior to their lessons starting.
- All Swim Academy Children must wear swim hats in the pool. You can find these plus our range of goggles and other Swim Accessories here.
What to bring
- We recommend bringing a baby change mat if your baby is young and flip flops for yourself and Swim Academy children to prevent slipping.
- Please bring your own towels as these are not provided.
Changing Rooms
- Shoes must be removed prior to going into the changing rooms. Please use pool shoe covers provided or change into flip flops/sliders that have not been outside.
- Two change rooms one male and one female. Both have showers, toilets and a bench seating area with hooks.
Additional Pool Information
- Pushchairs, scooters & bikes must be left in the buggy park at the front of the centre which is located to the right of the main entrance doors. The centre cannot be liable for any damaged or stolen items.
- Parents/guardians/friends are able to spectate from the viewing gallery. Parents will need to make their way to the viewing gallery via the corridors, not walking around the edge of the pool.
- Children on our Swim Academy programme will be collected by their Swim Teacher or Poolside Assistant at their changing room door or from the viewing gallery.
- Puddle Ducks Baby and Pre-school customers, when the class is about to start you can enter the poolside and your teacher will bring you into the pool.
- Both the male and female changing rooms have a disabled toilet.
- We do have a strict no photography policy during our lessons, however welcome photographs during 'splashtime', however please be mindful and ensure no other swimmers are in the pictures.
- No food or drink in the changing rooms or poolside.
Maximum Class Ratio
- 10 children/adult pairs:1 teacher (Baby & Pre School)
- 8 children:2 teachers (Swim Academy Levels 1&2 and Levels 3&4)
- 12 children: 2 teachers (Swim Academy Levels 5 & 6)
